Xianghan Cheng
(California College of the Arts)艺术硕士(MFA)及旧金山艺术大学(Academy of Art University)艺术学士(BFA)。
Xianghan Cheng (b. 1994, China) is an abstract artist based in Shenzhen, China, working primarily in oil painting. His practice is rooted in long-term observation of urban environments. Through walking, pausing, and recording, Cheng gathers visual experiences from architecture, streets, walls, vegetation, light, and the evolving relationship between people and space, transforming these fragments into layered compositions. Covering, subtraction, and accumulation serve as essential methods in his process, allowing different moments and spaces to coexist within a single painting. In recent years, curved forms have become a central element of his visual language, developed through the interplay of layers, fields of color, and linear structures.
Cheng received his MFA from the California College of the Arts and his BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He is the recipient of the 2023 Murphy & Cadogan Contemporary Art Award and was a finalist for the Barclay Simpson Award. His works have been exhibited in New York, San Francisco, Beijing, Shenzhen, Florence, and other cities, and are held in private collections.

Dali currently lives and works in Shenzhen. She began her artistic practice in painting and visual installation in 2013, and received her Master’s degree in Art Design from Hunan University and Master’s degree in Fine Art from the University of the Arts London. Her works have been exhibited in London, Milan, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and other cities. She has presented numerous solo exhibitions and participated in major group exhibitions, with works held in private and institutional collections.
Dali’s practice explores the connections between visual imagery, perception, and lived experience. Beginning with abstract painting, she continuously investigates the processes of image formation, deconstruction, and reconstruction through fragmentation, transformation, and repetition. For Dali, painting is not merely the creation of visual forms, but an ongoing process of becoming—an exploration of the subtle relationships between the visible and invisible, presence and absence, imagination and reality.

Shilei Fan
Fan Shilei graduated from the Glasgow School of Art and currently lives and works in Shenzhen, China. Working across painting, installation, sound, moving image, kinetic sculpture, and digital technologies, his practice explores the relationships between urban space, cultural memory, identity, and systems of perception. Growing up during China’s rapid urban transformation, Fan reconfigures overlooked materials, architectural elements, and public symbols from everyday life through repetition, reconstruction, and spatial transformation, turning familiar urban fragments into visual environments between reality and fiction. His works invite viewers to reconsider the connections between personal experience, collective memory, and contemporary cultural production.
Influenced by thinkers including Max Horkheimer, Theodor W. Adorno, and Michel Foucault, Fan approaches art as an evolving space of cognition rather than a fixed visual object. Through the shifting relationships between materials, bodies, and spatial structures, his practice examines how perception is constructed and continuously reinterpreted. His works have received awards including the Chalmers-Jervise Prize from the Royal Scottish Academy and the Jury Selection Award at the 22nd Japan Media Arts Festival, and are held in the collections of institutions including the British Consulate-General Chongqing, Fujian Art Museum, China Printmaking Museum, and private collections.

Alexis Wong
(Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford),获艺术学士一级学位。
Alexis Wong is a Hong Kong-born artist based between London and Shenzhen, working primarily with sculpture and installation. Drawing from the Chinese philosophical concept of shi and the spatial logic embedded in feng shui, her practice explores how spatial configurations generate tendencies, conditions, and possibilities. Rather than viewing space as something shaped through force or opposition, Wong approaches it as a relational field where potential emerges through arrangements between objects, environments, and cultural structures. Through mutable installations, she examines how spatial experiences are shaped by inherited cultural frameworks and systems of perception, questioning how ways of seeing and understanding are continuously constructed.
Wong received a First-Class BFA in Fine Arts from the Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford. Her works have been exhibited in Oxford, London, Paris, Huelva, and Hong Kong. In 2026, her large-scale interactive installation Sunken Echoes was presented as part of the Yi Tai Sculpture & Installation Projects at Art Central, Hong Kong. Her first solo exhibition, Intervalles perméables (Porous Pauses), was presented at Looolook Gallery in Paris and curated by Caroline Arhuero. She will also present an installation as part of the Special Projects section at Untitled Art, Miami Beach.

Shi Li
Li Shi (b. 1990, China) was born in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, and currently lives and works in Shenzhen. She graduated from the School of Art and Design at Shenzhen University, majoring in Environmental Art Design. Growing up in Shenzhen, particularly in the historic area of Nantou Ancient Town, she was shaped by the coexistence of local traditions and diverse cultural influences brought by the city’s rapid development, which has become an important foundation of her artistic practice.
Li began her independent artistic practice in 2018, initially developing a distinctive language rooted in illustration before transitioning toward contemporary art between 2023 and 2024. Her works are characterized by dynamic compositions and emotional intensity. Through distorted human forms, fragmented bodies, expressive lines, and layered textures, she creates complex visual spaces between reality and imagination. Beginning with observations of human relationships, her practice gradually extends toward reflections on individual existence, presenting emotional conflicts, inner experiences, and states of being through a powerful expressionist approach.

His practice focuses on the relationship between painting language and personal experience. For Luo, painting is not a means of explaining reality, but a trace of existence and an ongoing process in which images emerge between certainty and uncertainty, control and spontaneity.
Through a highly personal visual language, Luo explores the tension between figurative elements, painterly marks, and compositional structures, creating works that embody emotional intensity and spiritual resonance. He has presented solo exhibitions including Lost Images (Shenzhen, 2008), Blind Zone (Space Gallery, Beijing, 2009), and BMW Centenary Exhibition: Luo Taisheng Solo Exhibition (Hong Kong, 2016). Grounded in personal experiences and emotions, he focuses on the language of painting itself and develops an open-ended visual expression.
For Shen, painting is not a representation of specific subjects, but a process of perception and expression. Through the movement of lines, structures, and material traces, he transforms experiences of nature, music, and self-reflection into dynamic painterly spaces. His practice investigates the relationship between fleeting sensations, temporal traces, and the evolving language of painting.

The Artist
Mengkai Xu
Xu Mengkai (b. 2004, China) is currently based between New York and Shenzhen and studies at Parsons School of Design in the United States. His practice emerges from long-term cross-cultural experiences and reflections on individual alienation within different environments. By reorganizing familiar domestic objects, human figures, and spatial relationships, Xu disrupts established orders of reality and places everyday elements into unfamiliar and surreal contexts, creating psychologically charged visual landscapes.
In Xu’s works, objects move beyond their original functions and become symbols carrying emotional and psychological meanings. Through spatial displacement, reconstruction of imagery, and surreal visual arrangements, he explores experiences of loneliness, disconnection, and uncertainty in contemporary life. His practice reflects on the difficulty of establishing deep connections between individuals and their surroundings, as well as the fluid state of identity within multiple cultural and social systems.
Xu has participated in the group exhibition Beyond Coordinates (Lanting Art Museum, Chengdu, 2026) and presented his solo exhibition The Realm of Overlapping (Volcano Art Space, Beijing, 2026).
